A preliminary hearing in Oneida County Court was held March 24 for a Rhinelander man accused of intentionally pointing a firearm at a law enforcement officer.
In addition to being charged with one county of that Class H felony, Leif T. Frodesen, 47, was charged with a count apiece of operating a firearm while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor, and the Class U misdemeanors possession of THC and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Frodesen faces fines of up to $21,500 and imprisonment of up to seven years and four months if found guilty of all the charges.
He was released on a $5,000 signature bond and ordered to have no possession of firearms, must maintain absolute sobriety, not go upon tavern premises except for work purposes, and no unsupervised contact with any child.
The next court date is a status conference, set for April 7.
