Food pantry to host Harvest Hoedown Sept. 27
On Saturday, Sept. 27, area families are invited to Pioneer Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the annual Rhinelander Area Food Pantry Harvest Hoedown, a fall celebration filled with fun, food and community spirit.
Activities include free games and face painting for kids, live music on the Harvest Stage, and a horse drawn wagon ride to the pumpkin patch. Harvest Hoedown favorites Wild Instincts, Food For the Mind and Little Bellas will be there too. Don’t miss the smoked pork sandwich plate, burgers and brats by the Rhinelander Lions Club, and bake sale by the GFWC Rhinelander Woman’s Club. Enjoy fresh squeezed lemonade, caramel apple slices, and more. Enter to win in the Green Bay Packers tickets raffle and the new 50/50 raffle! Winners will be drawn at 3 p.m.
Entry is free so come enjoy a day of fun at Pioneer Park. Stop by the Hodag Farmer’s Market and stroll through the Pioneer Park Historical Complex. Park in the Ocala Street lot and take the shuttle to and from the event. All proceeds from the Harvest Hoedown support the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry.
