EV charging station planned for Rhinelander Culver’s with public-private support
Zero 60, a national electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator, is expanding its presence in Wisconsin with a fast, renewable EV charging station in Rhinelander, according to a press release.
The station will be located at Culver’s, 620 W. Kemp St., along a state-designated Alternative Fuel Corridor. It will feature four high-speed charging ports capable of delivering up to 160 kilowatts per vehicle simultaneously.
The installation is supported by funding from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation through the state’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program.
“Partnering with a well-known brand like Culver’s gives us a unique opportunity to combine Midwest hospitality with clean, convenient charging,” said Wade Leipold, executive vice president of Faith Technologies Incorporated, which founded Zero 60. “We’re proud to support Wisconsin’s efforts to build a robust, future-ready charging network that serves communities and travelers alike.”
Zero6 Energy will finance, own and operate the station. Faith Technologies will handle engineering, design, development, installation and commissioning, and will provide ongoing maintenance following installation.
The Rhinelander site is part of Zero 60’s broader effort to build a nationwide network of renewable EV charging stations at high-traffic destinations such as quick-service restaurants, hotels and retail stores.
Zero 60 currently operates nine charging sites, with additional locations planned across the country. Initial installations were completed in New York, California, Colorado and Wisconsin.
