Rhinelander FBLA/DECA launches ‘Trick or Can’ food drive
Rhinelander High School’s FBLA/DECA chapter is participating in “Trick or Can,” a statewide community service initiative aimed at collecting non-perishable food items for local families in need, according to a press release.
Students will distribute donation bags to area homes from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 19. Each bag will include a flyer outlining acceptable items. Residents are asked to fill the bags with non-perishable food and leave them outside for pickup between 1 and 5 p.m. Oct. 26.
“Halloween marks a time each year when community members are willing to open their doors and interact with one another spreading joy and candy aplenty, but it is also a great time of need in our community,” the release stated.
The collected items will be donated to the Rhinelander Food Pantry for redistribution to local families.
