Author to speak on wildflowers at Nicolet College Oct. 21


Renowned author, naturalist, and photographer Stan Tekiela will be speaking on the topic of “Wildflowers: Nature’s Stunning Beauty in Full Bloom” at Nicolet College’s Northwoods Center in Rhinelander on Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. Space is limited so email [email protected] for a registration link.

Stan Tekiela is the author of numerous books on wildlife, plants, and nature, including the bestselling Wildflowers of Wisconsin and Birds of Wisconsin. His in-depth knowledge of wildflowers, coupled with his passion for conservation, has made him a favorite among nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers.

During the event, Tekiela will delve into the fascinating world of wildflowers, highlighting their diverse species, natural beauty, and their importance in ecosystems. He will also discuss his experiences photographing and researching these stunning plants throughout Wisconsin and beyond.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Tekiela’s books and have them signed during a special book signing session.
