Celebrate culture at ‘Community Fiesta’ in Rhinelander Oct. 20

A Community Fiesta is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 20, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Nacho’s Mexican Grill in Rhinelander, according to a press release from the Culture Tap Program.

The event will feature traditional Mexican folk dance performances and a game of Lotería, a Mexican game similar to bingo, hosted by visiting artists from the Mexican Folk Art Collective. The evening is open to the public and intended as a celebration of culture, food and community.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Mexican folk artists have visited Rhinelander through their partnership with the Culture Tap Program. The initiative is a collaboration among the School District of Rhinelander Community Education Program, the Mexican Folk Art Collective, Nicolet College, ArtStart and the Rhinelander Community Foundation.

Additional details about the Culture Tap schedule, including in-school activities planned for Oct. 20–21, are expected to be released soon.
