Extreme Weather and Climate Services Roadshow coming to Rhinelander
Rural residents and community leaders are invited to attend the Extreme Weather and Climate Services Roadshow on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Newbold Community Center, 4608 Apperson Drive.
Hosted by the Rural Partnerships Institute, the Wisconsin State Climatology Office, and Wisconet, the event will explore how extreme weather is affecting northern Wisconsin and what tools are available to help communities prepare.
Attendees will learn about:
Weather and climate services provided by the Wisconsin State Climatology Office
Wisconet, the state’s network of weather and soil monitoring stations
RPI’s ongoing project to support extreme weather preparedness in rural areas
The roadshow will also address pressing climate-related questions facing rural communities and offer insights into the types of information that can help residents better understand and respond to changing weather patterns.
