Aspirus Health, Anthem Blue Cross announce new agreement

Aspirus Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin (Anthem) have reached a new, multi-year agreement providing Anthem members with uninterrupted access to affordable, high-quality care at all Aspirus Health facilities and physician offices in Wisconsin, Asprius announced Wednesday, Nov. 19.

With the new contract, Anthem members covered by employer-based, individual, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid health plans in Wisconsin will have uninterrupted in-network access to Aspirus Health doctors and care sites, including Aspirus-affiliated partner providers in the Aspirus Network Inc.

“Reaching an agreement for the benefit of the patients who count on us for high-quality health care close to home was of the utmost importance to everyone at Aspirus Health and our Aspirus Network Inc. partners,” said Matt Heywood, president and CEO of Aspirus Health. “We appreciate Anthem’s collaboration to reach this agreement, which allows Aspirus to continue our mission to heal people, promote health, and strengthen the communities we serve.”
