Robert D. Peter

Robert D. Peter, 71, of Rhinelander, died on November 16, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 13, 1954 in Rhinelander, the son of Douglas and Evelyn (Bailey) Peter. He attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1972. After his schooling he was employed by Marplex, then the paper mill in Brokaw, then Long Year Mining Company and finally for the Zdroik Sawmill.

In his spare time Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. He also loved the company he enjoyed with his dogs that he had throughout his lifetime. 

Bob is survived by his son Jeremy Ovsak, his mother Evelyn Peter, his sisters Jo Ann Seidel, Carol (Gary) Stafford, Elizabeth (Dan) Matson and Kimberly Medina, his brothers Daniel (Flo) Peter and Timothy (Annette) Peter, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his son Donald.
