Rhinelander High School Key Club Food Drive through Nov. 21

Rhinelander High School Key Club will be hosting a district-wide food and fundraising drive through Nov. 21 to support the Hodag Monster Meals program through the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry.

The Hodag Monster Meals are free monthly meal bags for kids and teens in our area. Each bag includes breakfast and lunch items, milk, fresh produce, and snacks. The program currently costs $6,200 each month to provide these meals to local students and families — and the need continues to grow.

To help meet this need, Key Club is organizing several fun and meaningful fundraising events across all Rhinelander schools:

School competitions

Elementary schools: Compete in Penny Wars! The winning school will earn lunch and recess with the Hodag mascot and RHS Key Club members. We will be sending out a promotional video later this week to share with your students. 

Middle School: Homerooms will compete to collect the most donations — the winning team earns a pizza party!

High School: Each day will feature a list of themed donation items (see flyer). Grade levels and staff will compete for the chance to pie a staff member at the end of the week!

Upcoming fundraisers

Dec. 3: Visit Santa at the Hodag Birthday Party (4:30 to 5:30 p.m.). Photos by Heather Collins Photography — $5 per photo, with all proceeds supporting Hodag Monster Meals.

Dec. 19: Bring food donations to the Boys & Girls Basketball Doubleheader Food Drive at RHS.

Dec. 1–17: Participate in the Giving Tree in student services. Each ornament lists non-perishable food items to donate. All items will go toward creating holiday meal bags for district families.
