Cross country: Rhinelander at WIAA D2 State Championship

Three members of the Rhinelander High School cross country team competed in the WIAA Division 2 state cross country meet in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday. 

Junior Macy Myers ran to a 32nd-place finish in the D2 girls’ race. Myers completed the 5-kilometer course in a time of 19 minutes, 59.1 seconds. She was the first Hodag girl to compete at state since 2017.

In the boys’ race, Avrom Barr came home 41st (17:00.9) and Jackson Weinzatl was 83rd (17:48.1). Both improved upon their finishes from last year, when Barr placed 44th and Weinzatl was 114th.
