Northwoods Track Club to be held in Rhinelander this summer

The Northwoods Track Club has formed for the summer of 2025 and is open for all ages and abilities, featuring practices and meets held at Rhinelander High School.

Club practices will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening, running from June 10 to July 8, excluding July 3. No-cost practices will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rhinelander High School track, pending weather. These practices will be an “open gym” format. Come and go as you please. Club coaches will be available during that time. Athletes in fifth grade or younger will have dedicated time every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 4:45 p.m.

Additionally, the club plans to stage two meets at Mike Webster Stadium Friday, June 27 and Friday, July 11. These meets are open to any and all ages, youth through adult/masters. Open pit for long and triple jump. Open circles for shot put and discus. Male and female high jump and pole vault will be run together. Starting heights will be determined by the competitors. All events start at 6 p.m. Please arrive early to register and warm-up prior to 6 p.m.

The cost is $10 per individual, with a $30 maximum for families. The 50-meter dash will be a free event for all children 5 years old & younger. Registration occurs on-site before each meet begins, from 4:30-5:45 p.m. Unlimited events/person.

Registration set for Rhinelander Youth Tackle Football

Registration for the Rhinelander Youth Tackle Football program will take place Wednesday, June 4, at the Rhinelander Ice Arena.

The program is open to boys and girls entering third through sixth grade for the upcoming season. Participants will have the opportunity to develop football fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a structured, competitive environment.
