David Ronald Richmond

David Ronald Richmond passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 74. Dave was born on March 19, 1951, to Ron and Maxine (Kansig) Richmond. Dave was known for his gentle spirit, being quick to laugh, and slow to anger. He was humble, kind, and funny.

Dave will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. Dave’s daughters Amy (Michael) Cottrell, Jenny (Mark) Vandlen, and Tammy (Michael) Taber loved their dad fiercely and attribute some of their best qualities to his influence in their lives. He was always quick to give words of encouragement, a hug, or a groan-worthy dad joke. His devotion extended to his grandchildren, Noah, Emma, Ava, Ian, Lea, Sawyer, Max, and Samantha. They were a source of joy and pride, and he loved cheering on all their endeavors.

Dave retired in 2016 from Lakeshore, but it is not his career that he will be known for. Dave‘s impact in this world will be in his love for the Lord and his love and compassion for the people around him. He was a long-time volunteer for the food pantry, played baritone in the community band, and served as an Awana Cubbie leader at his Church, which brought great delight. A long-time member of Pine Grove Community Church, Dave served as a deacon, sang on the worship team, and was eager to help wherever he was needed. Dave created many lifelong friendships throughout his life that blessed and encouraged him.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Joyce.

A memorial service will take place on June 14, at Pine Grove Community Church in Rhinelander with visitation at 9 a.m. untill the time of the service. The Carlson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
