Celebrating our future educators
On May 15, Rhinelander High School proudly honored 11 outstanding seniors who have chosen to pursue a career in education during our first-ever Senior Signing Day for Future Educators.
Each of these students selected an impactful educator who has inspired their journey.
The educators shared information about each of the students. We were thrilled to welcome those honored teachers, family members, district administrators, and staff to celebrate this special moment.
As a district, we are proud to stand behind these students as they work toward their future careers. Once they complete their degrees and earn teaching certifications, we are proud to guarantee each of them an interview right here in the School District of Rhinelander.
Superintendent Eric Burke shared: “Education is the foundation of a strong and thriving society. Our future depends on the individuals who step up to teach, guide, and shape the next generation — and today, we celebrate 11 students who are answering that call.”
Michele Cornelius, Director of Human Resources, encouraged students to consider coming home to Rhinelander to make an impact, reminding them of all the great things about becoming a Hodag once again.
We would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Educators Rising advisors, Meghan Rettalick and Melissa Hasselberger, whose tireless efforts and unwavering belief in these students have made this program — and this moment — possible.
To the educators and mentors who joined us today: thank you. Your influence is powerful, and today’s celebration is proof of the lasting impact you make.
To our future teachers: congratulations. You are beginning a journey that will shape lives — both your students’ and your own. We can’t wait to see the difference you’ll make.
