Oneida County Tourism Council to host forum on tourism impacts
In conjunction with National Travel and Tourism Week, the Oneida County Tourism Council (OCTC) is hosting a luncheon to educate the community on the importance of tourism in our area.
The event, happening May 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lakeside Center of Nicolet College in Rhinelander, will feature a speaker, as well as a panel discussion of local tourism business leaders sharing their insights and experiences.
“This is a great opportunity for business owners, community leaders, elected officials and tourism professionals to connect, gain valuable knowledge, and engage in a discussion about how we can continue to grow and support tourism in our area,” said Jacqui Sharpe, chairperson of the Oneida County Tourism Council and executive director of the Three Lakes Area Visitors Bureau. “It’s important to understand how tourism impacts our area on an economic level, but also to see how it plays a role in the everyday lives of the people who live here and make our communities strong.”
Tickets are $15, include admission and lunch, and can be purchased online. RSVPs by May 1 are appreciated.
