ArtStart community art show ‘TREES’ closing reception May 17

The community exhibition, “TREES,” is now open and runs through May 17, in the ArtStart galleries, located at 68 South Stevens Street in Rhinelander.

The public is invited to a closing reception on May 17 from noon to 2 p.m.

Each year ArtStart selects a theme and invites artists to submit a piece to be hung in the galleries. 

“This year’s theme is just so Northwoods, but it goes deeper,” explains Traci Stinebrink, communications director at ArtStart. “Trees can often symbolize connection between earth and sky, or body and spirit. Their roots dig deep while branches reach high. Art has such power in creating the connections that strengthen our communities.”

This year’s show has over 40 pieces created by local artists. 

“Our community art show is very special to us at ArtStart, because it truly showcases the incredible talent that surrounds us.” continues Stinebrink.

ArtStart galleries are open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Galleries are always open free to the public and all ages are welcome. Everyone is invited to the closing reception on May 17. Receptions are fun and casual. A cash bar will be open.
