Boys’ tennis: Rhinelander 1-4, Wausau Invite

The Rhinelander High School boys’ tennis team completed the Wausau Invite Saturday with a 1-4 record, losing its two matches on the day. The Hodags fell to Marshfield and Menomonie by matching 5-2 scores.

Rhinelander beat Wausau East 5-2 on Friday, but lost to Bay Port 4-3 and Pulaski 5-2.

Michael Schiek and Aiden Ostermann went 4-0 together at No. 1 singles over the weekend while Payton McCue and Karter Massey won all three of their matches in doubles. Asher Rivord picked up three wins on the weekend at No. 4 singles. 

Rhinelander (8-8, 2-0 Great Northern) takes on Stevens Point in non-conference play Tuesday.
