Wabeno American Legion Auxiliary’s poppy fundraising campaign this year

At this time every year, the Wabeno American Legion Auxiliary volunteer their time promoting the red poppy in memory of those who served and are now serving in all branches of the Military. Successful distribution of 1,500 poppies, enable us to donate exclusively to many veterans and veteran organizations. 

The Auxiliary appreciates all of you who donate and wear a poppy proudly and the business communities of Lakewood, Townsend, Mountain, Wabeno and Laona who allow poppies to be distributed at their establishments contributing to the success of our poppy campaigns.

The very generous donations from the community and for the support of the 2025 Annual Auxiliary Poppy Drive will be spent on veteran programs including VA hospitals, VA homes, assistant living and VA health care systems and honor flights.

By wearing this simple red flower, we show our support for veterans of generations to come.

The continuing needs of our veterans should be the concern of every American who values his or her freedom.
