PrimeTimers spotlight Habitat for Humanity
The St. Germain PrimeTimers will meet at 1:30 p.m. on May 7 at the St Germain Community Center for their monthly gathering featuring Dave from Habitat for Humanity. Dave will discuss the organization’s work to refurbish and build new housing for less fortunate individuals in all 50 states and in 70 countries.
The PrimeTimers, a group primarily of retired individuals aged 50 and older, are well known for their engaging travel excursions. Members have journeyed locally and across the United States on five- to seven-day trips while also exploring regional points of interest through day trips that highlight various industries. They also attend local concerts and plays, living by their motto: “In the Know and On the Go.”
Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. at the St Germain Community Center and typically include a guest speaker, a business meeting, and light refreshments. In addition to this month’s presentation by Habitat for Humanity’s Dave, upcoming events feature performances by Toby Keith and John Anderson, a hypnotist presentation, a trip to Island Casino, and a spring fling dinner.
Residents new to the community — or those who have lived here all their lives — are invited to join the PrimeTimers and discover engaging activities and new connections.
