Northwoods Singers announce upcoming spring concerts
As spring approaches, the Northwoods Singers are preparing inspiring music for their final concerts of the 2024-25 season. The group includes singers from around the Northwoods of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. Directed by Dr. Pamalyn Lee, the chorus will present two concerts titled “Love, What the World Needs Now.”
The spring concerts will be dedicated to Sudy Ferry-Watson a long-time member who passed away in January. Ferry-Watson, of Land O’ Lakes, sang tenor with the group and was active in many causes in the community, the state and around the country.
Concert selections include a wide range of choral music including international folk tune adaptations, hymns and several popular compositions from Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The pieces feature accompaniment by Linda Brainard on piano, Beth Hassler on viola, and many incorporate a variety of percussion instruments.
