Vilas County Republicans hosted their inaugural 2025 Pints and Politics event in Eagle River
The Vilas County Republicans hosted their inaugural Pints and Politics event of 2025 at the Mud Creek Saloon in Eagle River. The gathering drew a lively crowd of conservative voices, along with a few liberals, all encouraged to participate in Wisconsin’s non-partisan election on April 1, 2025.
Featured speakers included U.S. Congressman Tom Tiffany of the 7th District and Amy Loudenbeck, who addressed key issues on the upcoming ballot. Voters statewide will decide on three significant matters: the election of a Supreme Court Justice, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction race between the incumbent and challenger, and a referendum proposing the addition of state-issued photo ID requirements to the Wisconsin State Constitution.
Local ballots will vary across towns, counties, and school districts, highlighting the importance of voter preparation. Residents are urged to review their specific ballots at My Vote Wisconsin, accessible at My Vote Wisconsin.
Early voting began on Tuesday, March 18, with absentee ballots already distributed by local clerks. However, factors such as potential poor weather and the absence of snowbirds in the Northwoods may contribute to lower voter turnout for the spring election.
