Carrie Bergman, age 47, of Rhinelander, passed away on March 1, 2025 in Stoughton. She was born on Feb. 22, 1978, in Rhinelander, daughter of Peter and Elsie (Slack) Bergman Sr. She attended schools in Rhinelander graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1996. She then attended Nicolet College where she earned a degree in accounting. As a child, she spent her time surrounded by friends and family. Carrie settled in Stoughton where she has lived since.
Carrie was a free spirit with a heart full of kindness, whose love for simplicity and adventure touched everyone she met. She had a special knack for finding treasures in thrift stores, where she could spend hours uncovering hidden gems and unique finds that reflected her creative and thoughtful nature. A lover of life’s small, beautiful moments, she lived simply, cherishing the beauty of nature and the company of loved ones. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear to anyone in need, whether human or animal. Her free-spirited soul and gentle heart will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carrie is survived by her father, Peter Bergman Sr., sister Amy Bocek (Troy), brother-in-law Tim Kuehn, nephew Kirby Kuehn, and many nieces Shelby Kuehn, Victoria Sorensen, Francesca Kiper, Josephine Straley, Rebecca Muller, Jessica Nuñez, Tracy Priebe, numerous great nieces and nephews and her fur babies Waffles and Sausage. Carrie is preceded in death by her mother Elsie Bergman, her sister April Kuehn and her brothers Peter Bergman Jr. and Joseph Bergman.
Visitation for Carrie will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon, with memorial services following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home.
