Local athletes compete at Badger State track
Twenty-two members of the Northwoods Track Club took part in the Badger State Games at Marathon High School Saturday, June 21. The club, primarily featuring athletes from the Rhinelander and Three Lakes areas, took home 38 individual medals in the event.
The following athletes medaled for the club:
• Urban Beuning: Gold Male 11-12 3,000 meters
• Olivia Eades: Gold, Female 13-14 200m; silver F13-14 triple jump; bronze F13-14 400m
• Nathan Koch: Gold, M40-44 1500m; gold, M40-44 3000m; silver, M40-44 400m
• William Rabe: Gold M19-29 long jump; gold M19-29 triple jump; gold M19-29 high jump
• Jacob Tomazevic: Gold M19-29 pole vault
• Andy Wyss: Gold, M35-39 triple jump; silver, M35-39 100m; silver M35-39 long jump
• Jayme Wyss: Gold, F35-39 100m hurdles; gold F35-39 pole vault; gold F35-39 discus
• Charlie Antonuk: Silver, M15-16 pole vault
• Makenna Burgess: Silver, F15-16 long jump; bronze, F15-16 100m
• Paul Denis: Silver M15-16 triple jump; bronze, M15-16 pole vault
• Bekah Koch: Silver F13-14 3000m
• Olivia Ruetz: Silver, F15-16 100m; silver, F15-16 200m; silver F15-16 400m
• Baya Wyss: Silver, F11-12 800m
• Myles Wyss: Silver; M9-10 long jump; bronze, M9-10 1500m
• Rowyn Wyss: Silver M8U 400m; silver M8U 800m; silver, M8U long jump
• Helen Beuning: Bronze, F13-14 3000m

The club will host its first of two track meets of the summer tonight at Mike Webster Stadium. Registration will take place from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. and is $10 per athlete, with a cap of $30 per family. Field and running events will all start at 6 p.m.
