Arlene M. Andel

Arlene M. Andel, 91, of Rhinelander, died on June 8, 2025, at her home, in Rhinelander. She was born on June 30, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of William and Lorraine (Mueller) Skala. She attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1951. After her schooling she was employed by Rhinelander Cafe, Liberty Loan Corp and then for the Rhinelander Potato Chip Plant until they closed in 1998.

She married Dennis Andel in 1971 and they were blessed with over 53 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2024. Arlene and Dennis were longtime members of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Arlene is survived by her children Denise (Darren) Pye-Straley, James Andel, Jeffery (Adrianna) Andel and Patrick McDonald. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister LaVerne Pence.
