Rhinelander 4th of July parade information
The annual DRI Master Parade will take place on Friday, July 4, at 11 a.m., celebrating the theme “Road to Independence” in recognition of the start of the Revolutionary War in 1775.
The parade will begin at the police station on Frederick Street, traveling south on Brown Street, east on Anderson Street, and north on Stevens Street, before concluding at Rives Street.
This year’s procession will feature performances by the Rhinelander High School Band, Pipes and Drums of Thunder Bay, Edgar High School Band, Zor Funsters, Rhinelander Community Band, and Janesville Fife and Drum.
Before the main parade, the Rhinelander Lions Kiddie Parade will kick off at 10 a.m., with lineup at 9:30 a.m. near Zion Church/School on Frederick Street.
Parade organizers are seeking antique, new, or standout cars and trucks to lead sponsored units. Those interested in participating should contact Dale Schlieve at 715-369-1814.
Awards will be given in categories including non-profit, business, marching, and general.
The Veterans Ceremony organization is working to secure a F35 flyover during the parade.
Community members wishing to support the event may send donations for the fireworks or parade to Dale Schlieve, 312 Conro Street, Rhinelander, WI 54501. Checks should be made payable to Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce.
