Hodag pride: Thank you for $300K in scholarships

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation and the Rhinelander High School Class of 2025, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the greater Rhinelander community for its extraordinary generosity and continued support of our graduating seniors.

Each year, our community comes together to recognize and reward the hard work, dedication, and potential of our young people. Through the incredible support of local businesses, service organizations, families, and memorial donors, over $300,000 in scholarships were awarded to deserving students. These awards are significant, meaningful investments in the futures of our young people.

The impact of a scholarship goes far beyond the dollars. These awards symbolize encouragement and belief; reminders that their hometown is cheering them on as they pursue higher education, career training, or military service. They carry with them a deep sense of pride in being part of a community that values education, service, and personal growth. Our recipients recognize the investment being made in them, and they carry the responsibility of validating that investment forward with great Hodag Pride!

We also thank the numerous individuals who serve on scholarship committees, read applications, and select recipients. Your time and care ensure that these awards are meaningful and impactful. We can’t do it without you! We are incredibly fortunate to live in a place where people consistently step forward to lift others up. With gratitude.
