RHS Sports recap: Friday, June 6

Track: Rhinelander at WIAA State

The Rhinelander High School track team competed Friday at the WIAA Division 2 state track meet in La Crosse. 

Of the four Hodag entries who had preliminaries on Friday, only Aila Bergman made it through to the finals as she qualified ninth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 45.79 seconds. 

In finals competition, Macy Myers took eighth in the girls’ pole vault, clearing 11 feet. Truman Lamers failed to clear the starting height of 6 feet in high jump and was not classified in the final standings. 

None of Rhinelander three relays made it through to the finals. The Hodag girls finished 15th in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400. 

Bergman will compete in the finals of the 300 hurdles Saturday in La Crosse.
