Nancy Jane Lane (Adams)

Nancy Jane Lane (Adams), 68, of Rhinelander, passed peacefully on May 26, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 24, 1957 in Racine, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Ubessen) Adams.

Nancy is survived by her husband Eric Lane, daughter Coral Lane, her son Mack Lane, sisters Laura Topai and Marla Jameson, her brother William Adams as well as nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters Kathy Adams and Jayne Adams.

Nancy married Eric in 1978 in Williams Bay, (47 years ago) and relocated to Rhinelander in 1985 where they set their roots and had their children.

Many in Rhinelander probably know Nancy. Whether it was a special dinner at the Rhinelander Café & Pub as your favorite waitress, at the Rhinelander Oneida County Airport helping you get to your destination, or later in life as a familiar face to help you check out and keep your day moving at Trig’s.

Nancy loved a good adventure and being out in the sun but was just as pleased relaxing at home with a glass of wine, watching her favorite sitcoms and “soapies.” She was an open soul and would welcome any stranger with open arms and a warm smile.

She embodied the gift of gab but still remained genuine, kind, and engaged in her conversations with nearly everyone she interacted with. She dedicated her life to helping those around her. Nancy would tell you that her true joy in life was raising her children and watching them grow and live life. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
