RHS reports all-time high in AP achievement
Rhinelander High School recorded its best marks ever in participation and success in Advanced Placement (AP) exams during the 2024-25 school year, the school reported last week.
During the year, 141 RHS students took 220 AP exams, and 97 students earned a score of 3 or higher—a 69% success rate. Those were the highest in school history in all categories.
“Congratulations to all students and teaching staff for this outstanding accomplishment,” the School District of Rhinelander stated in a press release. “Congratulations also to principal (Shane) Dornfeld and associate principal (Matt) Knott for your academic leadership at RHS. Your hard work and dedication are opening doors to college credit, scholarship opportunities, and future success.
“RHS students continue to shine beyond our walls earning significant college credit while in high school through start college now and dual credit and a very high percentage continue to earn Dean's List Honors in 2- and 4-year colleges. This is what being Hodag Ready for College and Career looks like.”
“Thank you to our incredible teachers, staff, families, and community partners for supporting our students every step of the way,” the statement continued. “Together, we make success possible.”
