Peggy Sue Stevens

Peggy Sue Stevens, 73, of Rhinelander, passed away on July 13, 2025. Born on April 19, 1952, Peggy was known for her loving nature and fierce loyalty to those she held dear.

Peggy dedicated her life to her family, embracing the role of a stay-at-home wife and mother with unmatched devotion. She also contributed her skills in bookkeeping on the side, supporting local businesses with her meticulous attention to detail.

Her creative spirit shone brightly through her hobbies. An avid crafter, Peggy found joy in knitting and crocheting, often gifting her handmade blankets and throws to friends and family. Her passion for collecting Blue Willow china and various bird and keepsake collectibles filled her home with beauty and sentiment.

Peggy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gary Stevens; her mother, Jackie Mattke; her father, Howard Turpin; and her brother, Ron Turpin. 

She leaves behind a loving family: her son, Joshua Stevens (Sara Olson), and grandchildren, Ada Stevens, Alannah Olson, and Rhianna Olson. She is also survived by her sister, Penny Turpin; brother-in-law, Charles Fiene; nephews, CJ Fiene, Tyler Fiene, Jakob Fiene (Hannah) grandnieces, Willow and Makayla; brother-in-law, Carl Fiene (Tamala); and nieces, Megan Fiene (Zach Cummings), and Liz Fiene.

In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. Her life and legacy will continue to be celebrated privately by family and friends, who will remember her as a cornerstone of warmth and generosity in their lives.
