Taste of Chocolate launches in Downtown Rhinelander

Do you love chocolate? Now is the perfect time to enjoy a delicious treat and support local businesses.

The annual Downtown Rhinelander Inc. Taste of Chocolate fundraising event, sponsored by Nicolet National Bank, kicked off on Jan. 27 and will continue until Valentine’s Day.

“This is a large fundraiser for our downtown organization,” DRI President Bob Lueder said in a press release. “Visit our local businesses, purchase chocolate bars for family and friends and support your local businesses.”

DRI partnered with the Fun Factory Sweet Shoppe to produce a variety of specialty chocolate bar flavors that will be sold in participating businesses for $5.

In addition, each chocolate bar will have ticket that could be a winner of Downtown Bucks ranging from $5 to $20 or coupons from various businesses, Lueder explained.

 Only 1,200 chocolate bars will be sold as part of this event, he noted.

Also, 12 chocolate bars will have Golden Tickets.

Those who are a lucky enough to find one, will be entered into a grand prize drawing for $500 in Downtown Bucks. 

Customers can purchase as many chocolate bars from as many businesses as they would like in their quest to find a golden ticket, the release states.

Chocolate bars will remain on sale until Feb. 14, while supplies last.
