Raymond Alan Lange

Raymond Alan Lange, age 68, of Rhinelander, died on January 14, 2025 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.

He was born on September 21, 1956, in Rhinelander, the son of Waldemar and Audrey (Johnson) Lange. He attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from Rhinelander High School in 1975. After his schooling he worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Rhinelander for many years until his retirement. He married the former Marlene Garrow on June 29, 1985 and the Lord blessed them with nearly 40 years of marriage.

The most important thing in Raymond's life was his faith in his Lord and Savior. He was a lifelong member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinelander and was a longtime member of the choir and served on the same ushering team for over 50 years. He was also a big Wisconsin sports fan. He looked forward to each Packers, Badgers, Bucks and Brewers games. The Brewers were number one on his list and he looked forward to occasionally attending a game each year with his brothers Eric and David. He was also a member of a bowling league for many years. 

Raymond is survived by his wife Marlene, his sisters Susan Johanknecht and Donna (Mark) Kipfmiller, his brothers Eric (Dianne) Lange and David (Karen) Lange, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Raymond will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 10 a.m. to noon, with funeral services following at noon, all at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Reverend Nate Plocher will be officiating. Interment will be in the Northland Memorial Park Cemetery.
