Registration is open for an educational art trip to London hosted by Nicolet College.

The trip is scheduled for May 7-18 and activities are focused on the evolution and history of art, as experienced through exhibits at London museums, galleries, and historic sites, school officials said in a press release.

“A Nicolet College art instructor will guide participants through their experiences at museums and galleries, to build knowledge of and appreciation for art,” the release states. “Participants will also visit Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral.”

Registration information is available on the Nicolet College website and the deadline is February 1.

“If you love art, you should go, because it was truly an amazing trip” said Mira King, a Nicolet College graduate, who participated in the 2023 London study abroad trip.

The student trip fee is $2,763 plus tuition for enrollment in a Nicolet College art course. The non-student trip fee is $3,450. Non-students do not need to enroll in a class to participate.

The student cost of the trip has been made more affordable through donations to the Nicolet College foundation, the release states.

Included in the cost is round-trip airfare, transportation, hotel, museum and excursion fees, and some meals.

Nicolet College students earn course credit during the trip, making progress toward their degree while immersed in this life-changing experience, the release states.

“I got to go on an art trip of a lifetime to London, England, through Nicolet to embrace my creative side,” said Kayla Fraley, another past participant in 2023. “Nicolet College gave me experiences that I never would have thought possible.”

Current Nicolet students who need help paying for the trip may be able to use financial aid or apply for a scholarship.
