YMCA accepting Teen Character Award nominations

The YMCA of the Northwoods will host the annual YMCA Teen Character Awards on Sunday, April 6. 

Rhinelander Rotary Club is returning as the presenting sponsor, according to a YMCA press release.

“The Awards recognize teens that demonstrate the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, aligning with Rhinelander Rotary’s dedication to service, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership,” the release states. “The awards are an important way to recognize teens that have made positive changes in their lives and communities.”

Nominees can highlight this achievement on their college and job applications. Nominations can be submitted via mail, fax, email or through the website at www.ymcaofthenorthwoods.com, with a submission deadline of February 12.

The Y is also accepting sponsorships for the Y Teen Character awards. Part of what makes this night special is the event’s ability to unite the entire Northwoods, bringing together teens and businesses from six different counties: Price, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas, the release states.
