The Rhinelander team was comprised of seniors Greyson Gremban, Brody Kowieski, Aiden Ostermann and Michael Schiek.
Both teams will represent the Northwoods region at the state championship in Madison on May 21, where they will compete against students from other schools across Wisconsin.
FICB is a statewide college bowl quiz competition that supports teachers of personal finance and economics and increases financial literacy for the students who compete, the release states. The FICB aligns with Wisconsin learning standards for Financial Literacy and Economics, and is an effective strategy to promote learning. All FICB teams are led by teachers who help students study and prepare, as a classroom or an after-school activity.
Other Rhinelander students who competed Wednesday include: Alex Huempfner, Percy Huempfner, Atoli Hildebrand, Sam Schoppe, Charlie Antonuk, Ryley Hull, Lyndsey Hoerchler, Ella Miljevich, Mollie Arneson, Hayley Schiek, Ella Heck, Renin Craig, Stephen Meinert, Isaac Mickevicius, Seth Nofftz, John Turek, Truman Lamers, Payton McCue, Nathan Olds, Austin Sparling, Leander Spreksel and Dominic Hakala.
