NFL Football: Packers Emb(e)arassed by Chicago
The Chicago Bears (5-12) beat the Green Bay Packers (11-6) at Lambeau Field on Sunday, Jan. 5, in Green Bay. The last game of the National Football League’s (NFL) regular season for the two teams was anything but boring.
While Chicago jumped out to an early lead in the first, Green Bay continued to hang in there and even took its first lead of the game with a 55-yard field goal by kicker Brandon McManus with 50 seconds left in the game. However, there was just enough time for the Bears offense to get into position for kicker Cairo Santos to knock down a 51-yarder and win the game 24-22.
Green Bay will now head to Philadelphia to play the Eagles (14-3) this Sunday in the first round of the NFL playoffs. The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m.
