‘Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body’ workshop Jan. 21 in Rhinelander
With the new year come new resolutions to live a healthier lifestyle! These resolutions have the potential to impact our brain health in addition to our physical health.
At any age, there are lifestyle habits we can adopt to help maintain or even potentially improve our health. These habits may also help to keep our brains healthy as we age and possibly delay the onset of cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
To help people age well, the Alzheimer’s Association is offering the “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research” program. This workshop covers seven areas of lifestyle habits that are associated with healthy aging — sleep, smoking, mental health, cognitive activity, physical health and exercise, diet and nutrition, and social engagement.
In each area, we will discuss what we know and what we can do, drawing on current research, to improve or maintain overall health in each area. This program is designed for individuals of any age who are looking for information on ways to age as well as possible.
The “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body” workshop will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Oneida County (100 Keenan Street) from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
