RHS Sports recap: Thursday, Feb. 13
Boys’ hockey: Rhinelander 4, Chequamegon/Phillips 1
The Rhinelander High School boys’ hockey team snapped a 10-game losing streak Thursday night, defeating Chequamegon/Phillips 4-1 in a non-conference game in Park Falls.
Kadin Rodziczak opened the scoring for the Hodags, Dylan Shefveland added a pair of second-period goals and Van Tulowitzky rounded out the scoring for Rhinelander in the third period. Kalan Chuzles broke up the shutout for Cheqamegon with just more than 10 minutes remaining.
Shots were 27-23 in favor of the Hodags. Asher Rivord made 22 saves in the win.
Rhinelander (3-20-0, 0-9-0-0 Great Northern) will close out the regular season at home against Medford Saturday in the final round of the Great Northern Conference tournament.
