Boys’ hockey: Kingsford, Mich. 6, Rhinelander 1
The Rhinelander High School boys’ hockey team fell to Kingsford, Mich. 6-1 Wednesday in the final day of the Hodag Holiday Tournament at the Rhinelander Ice Arena.
The Flivvers scored three times in the first, period, twice in the second and once in the third as they outshot the Hodags 26-11 in the contest. Jack Turek had Rhinelander’s lone goal midway through the second period, assisted by Kadin Rodziczak.
Connor McGee made 20 saves in defeat for Rhinelander.
The Hodags (0-10-0, 0-4-0-0 Great Northern) will travel to Stevens Point Friday to face Pacelli.
