Rhinelander Community Foundation continues to grow

After reaching a major milestone in 2024 by granting more than $1 million to the community since its inception, the Rhinelander Community Foundation (RCF) continued its momentum in 2025 with the establishment of two new funds, according to a press release.

The newly created Natural Wonder Fund, established by Stan and Teri Strub, supports non-motorized outdoor activities in the Northwoods and celebrates quiet exploration and appreciation of nature.  In addition, the HSF Legacy Fund was launched to strengthen education through the Hodag Schools Foundation and provide grants to local students.

In 2025 alone, RCF awarded more than $296,000 in grants to local charitable organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Rhinelander residents. Overall, the Foundation has now distributed nearly $1.7 million in community grants since formal granting began in 2017.

RCF offers an enduring way for donors to make a meaningful impact in the community. By contributing to an existing fund or establishing a new one, donors can support causes close to their hearts, empower local organizations, and create lasting family legacies. Endowed funds are designed to grow over time, generating annual grants that reflect each donor’s values and vision — forever.

As RCF looks ahead, the Foundation will celebrate its 10-year anniversary in 2026, marking a decade of community impact, generosity, and partnership throughout the Rhinelander area.
