Rhinelander Wrestling Club hosts Arneson Memorial tourney

The Rhinelander Wrestling Club held the Dave Arneson Memorial youth tournament Saturday, Dec. 20 in the Hodag Dome. Forty-one clubs from around the state took part in the meet. 

The Rhinelander Wrestling Club had 46 wrestlers, ranging from pre-kindergartners to eighth graders, compete in the meet. Five wrestlers took first in their brackets — Chase Raith, Forrest Schmelling, Tucker Kreitlow, Aiden Shoeder and Saoirse Cichy. Runner-up finishers included Theodore Jacobs, Dawson Leanna, Max Schmelling, Felix Schmelling, Turner Kreitlow, Vinny Halverson, Brady Bath, Levi Figueroa, Carter Rawlsky and Spencer Tackett.

JV Hoops

The Rhinelander High School boys’ and girls’ JV basketball teams picked up wins over Northland Pines Friday, Dec. 19 at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
