Gerald Michael “Jerry” Dall

Gerald Michael “Jerry” Dall, 86 of Rhinelander, died on December 17, 2025 at the Howard Young Medical Center. Jerry was born in Chicago. Ill. on March 29, 1939 to Gerald J. Dall and Helen O’Malley Dall. Due to his mother’s illness Jerry moved to Wisconsin at age 13 and lived with wonderful foster parents Jens and Cordelia Miller and their two sons Jerrry and Jeff during his high school years graduating from Owen-Withee High School in 1957.

In June 1960 Jerry married his high school sweetheart Carla Marsden and they were blessed with three wonderful children Scott, Laura and Julie.

Immediately after school Jerry went to work for Thorp Finance in a Milwaukee office, Jerry worked in various locations for Thorp with Rhinelander being the last. In 1970 after 13 years with Thorp Jerry went to work for Ison Equipment in Monico retiring in 2004.

Jerry enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son, brother-in-law and nephew, especially their annual camping and fishing trips to Canada. Jerry loved to cook and be with family.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Laura (William) Horack and Julie Newbold, his three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, his brother James (Donna) Dall, his foster brother Jeff (Mae) Miller of Owen and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Carla on July 18, 2016, his son Scott and a foster brother Jerald (Joyce) Miller.

Visitation for Jerry will be held on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 from noon to 2 p.m., at the Carlson Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will follow at the Forest Home Cemetery.
