Gordon “Gordy” Dale Beach

Gordon “Gordy” Dale Beach, 78, passed peacefully on December 13, 2025 in Rhinelander. The son of Eugene and Lois (Greene) Beach, Gordy spent his youth growing up in Aurora, Ill. Gordy was drafted by the U.S. Army and fought for his country in the Vietnam War.

Gordy met the love of his life, Colette (Brummel) Beach prior to being drafted and they were united in marriage on October 29, 1966 while he was on leave from the War. They spent 43 happy years together until her passing. Gordy and Colette made a life in Yorkville, Ill. raising two sons, Timothy and Gregory. Gordy was active in coaching his sons’ athletics and never missed a game! Gordy was an avid golfer and enjoyed hitting the links with friends and family.

After Colette’s passing Gordy made the decision to move to northern Wisconsin to be near his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters. Gordy enjoyed a number of years living on the water and taking his family for pontoon rides.

At the late stages of his life Gordy became a resident of Grace Lodge Assisted Living. He enjoyed keeping staff and residents on their toes with his antics.

Gordy was preceded in death by his father Eugene, mother Lois, wife Colette, son Timothy, siblings Charles “Chuck” Beach, and Nancy (Beach) Lange. He is survived by his son Gregory (Heather) Beach, granddaughters Lola and Stella, as well as extended family.

The Beach Family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Grace Lodge Assisted Living and Compassus Hospice for their kindness and care for Gordy. Gordy and Colette will be interred at the Northwoods National Cemetery in the spring of 2026 with a celebration of life to be held in Yorkville, Ill.
