Rhinelander alum Fugle earns all-conference honors at Olivet Nazarene

Joe Fugle, a senior on the Olivet Nazarene University football team and member of the Rhinelander High School Class of 2022, recently earned second-team All-Midwest League honors at linebacker for the 2025 football season.

Fugle recorded 30 tackles for the Tigers this season, including three sacks and six tackles for loss. He also had one forced fumble on the year. He was one of 16 Tigers recognized by the conference. Olivet Nazarene went 6-4 on the season and was 2-3 in league play. 

Fugle has 72 tackles, 4 1/2 sacks, 3 1/2 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles in his collegiate career. A member of the Hodags’ playoff teams in 2019, 2020 and 2021, Fugle was a unanimous first-team All-Great Northern Conference selection on offensive line in 2021 and also received first-team honors as an outside linebacker. He played in the 2022 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star game, helping the North defeat the South 21-20 in the large school game.
