James “Jim” O. Pernau
James “Jim” O. Pernau, age 77, a resident of Minocqua, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25. He was born on September 18, 1948, in Wheaton, Ill., to parents Robert and Stella Pernau.
After earning his Bachelor’s degree at Illinois Wesleyan University he received a Master of Hospital Administration from the University of Michigan making him a lifelong Wolverine fan. He worked as the CEO of Edgerton Hospital for numerous years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and boating on Blue Lake.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Robert Pernau. He is survived by his partner: Susan Losen; sons: Nathan (Victoria) Brandt, Jason (Kerry) Brandt; grandchildren: Bunni, Hannah, Kyra, Jack; Susan’s children: Jason (Hillary) Losen, Joshua Losen; her grandchildren: Jacob, Evelyn, Marian; former spouse: Kriss Pernau; many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at The Gathering Place in Milton, 715 Campus Street, at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim’s honor can be made to the Campanile Center in Minocqua or to Walleyes for Tomorrow.
