With her journey here on earth ending, Gwendolyne Kerchefski (nee Mohr) met peace and joy with our savior on November 30, 2025. She was born December 31, 1941, to late Raymond and Ruth V. Mohr. Also predeceased by her brother Leonard Mohr, nephew Richard Mohr, and special friend the late Jack Antonuk.
Gwen is survived by daughter Linda (Alan) Edenharder, granddaughters, Laura (Fernando) Pla, Susan (Jeremy) Reiss, brother Philip (Jean) Mohr. Grand dogs Jordy and Delta. nephews Todd (Jessica) Mohr, Laura Garcia, Bill, Jill (Jeff) Kaebisch, Jackie (Toby) Mahar. Special friends, Sandi and Brian Tober, Denise Weible (and extended family), Mary and Marty, Barb ‘O’ (late Dave), Deana and David, and many other friends from her church, neighbors, and many others from Rhinelander and Milwaukee areas.
A special tribute to her hospice nurse Jen Dixon for special care and compassion these past months. She was not only her caregiver but a special friend who Gwen really loved.
Gwen was a resident of Milwaukee until she made her dream a reality and became a resident of Rhinelander in 1991. A dream she lived until her departure. She worked at Louis Allis/Magnetek for over 25 years until early retirement to move to Rhinelander. She had started talking to the squirrels and decided to bartend to meet people of the area. Gwen had many friends whom she cherished. Many of which included her as she was family and shared their holidays and special occasions.
Gwen lived her dream, was a true soul of kindness to many, and loved her friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rhinelander Humane Society/Shelter.
A funeral service will be held for Gwen at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Rhinelander with Reverend Mike Zahn officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. You may leave your private condolences for the Kerchefski family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is handling the arrangements for the family.
