Northwoods School of Dance presents ‘The Nutcracker’ Dec. 5-6 in Rhinelander

Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6, the Northwoods School of Dance along with their nonprofit Dance Northwoods group will perform their interpretation of “The Nutcracker” and other specialty pieces in the John and Dori Brown Performing Arts Center at Rhinelander High School. Times for the two shows are Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. and Dec. 6 at 1:30 p.m.

The dancers have been rehearsing and are excited to revisit this classic Christmas story. In addition to “The Nutcracker,” jazz, tap, lyrical and hip/hop dancers ages 3-22 will open the show with holiday favorites.

Miriah Mannikko, Melissa Mishler, Katie Shrock, Aubree Dumpprope Tanya Taylor and director Jessie Phelps have been choreographing pieces for these two shows.

Tickets will be sold at the door prior to each show. Tickets are $10 adult, $5 children, 2 and under are free.
