RHS Sports recap: Saturday, Aug. 30

Volleyball: Rhinelander 0-2, Friendship Tournament

The RHS volleyball team dropped both of its matches in the silver bracket Saturday at the Friendship Tournament in Wisconsin Dells. The Hodags were beaten in straight sets by Cambridge (9-25, 21-25) and Riverdale (20-25, 15-25).

Corynn Waksmonski had six kills on the day to lead the way for Rhinelander. Libbey Buchmann had 17 assists, Ava Rathbun had five kills and 18 digs and Kayla Skubal added four service aces. 

Rhinelander (1-9, 0-0 Great Northern) opens conference play at home against Tomahawk on Thursday.
