RHS Sports recap: Monday, Aug. 18

Girls’ tennis: Rhinelander 4, Onalaska Luther 3

The Rhinelander High School girls’ tennis team picked up a win in its lone match Monday at a rain-plagued Bay Port Invite, defeating Onalaska Luther 4-3. 

Rhinelander won three match tiebreakers over Luther, with Jordan Manske, Taylor McKinney and Lucy Evers pulling out wins at Nos. 2-4 singles. Willow Mutter and Addy Currie added a straight-set win for the Hodags at No. 3 doubles. 

Rhinelander (1-0, 0-0 Great Northern) will continue play at Bay Port on Tuesday.
