PHOTOS: BMX Weekend draws a crowd

The Hodag BMX Club held a big weekend of racing last Saturday and Sunday at the Hodag BMX track.

Despite showers and thunderstorms that pushed the start time back roughly five hours on Saturday, the track saw 115 entries in 32 classes for its Badger State Games race. Sunday’s turnout was much larger with 265 entries among 62 classes for the track’s Wisconsin State Championship Qualifier. 

The state championship will be held in Rhinelander Sept. 6-7. Results from Saturday’s races are printed in “Local Scoreboard” on page 12. Results from Sunday’s races will be published in a future edition of the River News.
